Despite the Prelude’s dual-motor hybrid system that works alongside a 2.0L 4-cylinder engine, it can only manage 200 total system horsepower1. Additionally, while the Prelude uses FWD, the GR86 includes a standard RWD system that optimizes handling for awe-inspiring drives. To enhance immersion, the GR86 also includes a standard 6-speed manual transmission. Meanwhile, the Prelude comes standard with an automatic Honda S+ Shift system that merely simulates manual gear changes through the use of paddle shifters.
Interior
Seating up to four people each, the 2026 Toyota GR86 and 2026 Honda Prelude allow you to bring a select group of passengers along for the ride the next time you race down I-80.
